“I truly believe that the reason people don’t live out their ideal life...is because they don’t know where to learn.”

Ignite Financial: Opening Letter

The day is here… Ignite Financial is launching (finally)!

Side note: I don’t want to bore you to death. You can skip all of the great behind-the-scenes stuff below and check out the site by clicking here.

If you have been anywhere in the same hemisphere that I am, you have probably heard about my new project. We have a crazy vision and some pretty BIG goals.

Why Ignite Financial

We built Ignite on the principle that we can change the world by changing lives. We believe that to accomplish our vision, we need to help people manage their money, so they are not being managed by their money. Enabling a snowball effect that could last for generations. Ambitious right? We know.

We also wanted to be innovative, edgy, and accessible. Accessible from the web copy all the way down to the service model. We made sure we were going to be a breath of fresh air into the world, turning the stereotypical view of our industry on its head. We know… ambitious.

Our origin story

How did we begin our journey? First, we asked hundreds of mostly-random people across the country what services their ideal financial planning firm would offer. Then, we took our time (four months to be exact) and reverse-engineered those services starting at how many minutes each and every task would take to complete.

After examining the tasks, we blended our findings into our integrated technology and realized something…the pricing model was COMPLETELY wrong. Going back to the drawing board we found that we could offer services at a lower price than a traditional financial services firm. While also treating every client with a white-glove, service mentality.

Our focus on education

We also created a content and publishing side of Ignite that will serve to exclusively educate people, clients or not, on how to get better at managing their money. These can be found in the “Brain Food” section of our website. They are also listed below, feel free to check them out:

  • “Ignite My Money” series — A 10-part course for better money management. You can sign up for it here.
  • “Mental Snacks” — A weekly update of the top 5–7 articles we’ve come across to help you financially and professionally. You can sign up for it here.
  • “The Daily Espresso” — Morning video tips for your money. For your viewing pleasure click here.
